Project Overview
Project AU Udyogini Samridhi’ aims to empower women from vulnerable communities in western Rajasthan by helping them become self-reliant entrepreneurs. Through training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and digital skills, women are supported to start and manage sustainable small businesses based on their interests and abilities. The project promotes women-led enterprises in both traditional and non-traditional sectors while strengthening peer learning, market access, and bank linkages to ensure long-term economic growth and independence.
Job Summary
The Coordinator shall be responsible for organizing the community and mobilizing women beneficiaries, facilitating their participation in training and refresher courses, and providing continuous guidance and support to women entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Mobilization
- Organizing group meetings, awareness campaigns, door-to-door visits, and family meetings in the field to identify, organize, and register targeted women.
- Identifying and organizing women who are interested in entrepreneurship.
- Selecting beneficiaries based on criteria regarding socio-economic sensitivity and entrepreneurial potential.
- Organizing launch programs at the community level and ensuring that women entrepreneurs are accepted by their families and the community.
- Training Support
- Assistance in organizing entrepreneurship, business growth and financial literacy training sessions.
- Collection of necessary documents from beneficiaries, and maintenance of records regarding their attendance and training.
- Providing guidance to beneficiary women and assisting in strengthening peer-based entrepreneurial groups.
- Identify successful women entrepreneurs and motivate other women to grow their businesses.
- Enterprise Support
- Provide mentoring and handholding support to women entrepreneurs.
- Support entrepreneurs in accounting, record-keeping, shop display, and business management.
- Conduct regular shop visits to strengthen account maintenance skills.
- Help entrepreneurs connect with reliable wholesalers and bulk buyers.
- Collect monthly business records and maintain data for MIS reporting.
- Organize community-based programs in coordination with entrepreneurs.
- Monitoring and Data Collection
- Regular visits to enterprises and monitoring their progress.
- Provide ground-level support – weekly monitoring of micro-enterprises, assistance with bookkeeping, problem resolution, and progress tracking.
- Collect M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation) data – attendance, income/expenditure records, product display, shop branding, qualitative feedback, and success stories.
- Collect data regarding regular business performance, reinvestment, revenue, and changes in income.
- Provide daily/weekly updates from the field—including challenges encountered and success stories—to the Project Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in community development programs.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Possesses strong community engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively in rural environments.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal ability.
- Comprehensive computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in real-time data management, geo-tagging, and capturing short videos and photographs for documentation and reporting purposes.
Remuneration range is Rs.33, 000 – Rs. 35,000 (CTC) per month, depending upon skills and experience. It will include PF, ESI and other benefits as per rules.
Working Conditions
The role may involve working in challenging field conditions with limited amenities. Candidates should be prepared to stay in basic accommodation near operational areas and be willing to relocate to a new project site after every six months of field tenure.
Transportation
Applicants must own a two-wheeler (bike) to ensure regular field visits and smooth project operations. Fuel expenses incurred during official fieldwork will be reimbursed as per the organization’s policy.
