About the Role
ETASHA is seeking a proactive, process-oriented, and strategically minded professional to support and strengthen the organization’s Finance, Accounts, and Compliance functions. The role is supervisory and coordination-focused, requiring oversight of accounting operations, compliance management, financial controls, funder reporting, and strengthening of accounting processes across the organization.
The position requires strong financial understanding, compliance orientation, analytical ability, and coordination skills to ensure smooth financial governance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Oversight
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Review accounting entries, reconciliations, vouchers, and financial documentation maintained by the accounts team.
- Monitor cash flow, fund utilization, and budget tracking across projects and organizational functions.
- Support preparation and review of financial statements, MIS reports, utilization certificates, and donor financial reports.
- Ensure timely closure of monthly and annual financial processes.
- Assist management in financial planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Compliance Management
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance related to TDS, GST, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor organization-wide compliance calendars, renewals, and submission timelines.
- Review compliance documentation and maintain systems for statutory and donor compliance.
- Support preparation and review of agreements, MoUs, and financial compliance documentation.
- Ensure adherence to donor guidelines, financial policies, and internal controls.
Systems, Processes & Internal Controls
- Strengthen finance systems, SOPs, documentation standards, and internal control mechanisms.
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives within finance and compliance functions, specifically as related to approvals, reimbursements, procurement & and financial documentation
- Ensure proper documentation flow and coordination between finance, programs, HR, and operations teams.
- Identify process gaps and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Team Coordination & Capacity Building
- Supervise and guide accounts and finance support staff.
- Ensure accountability, timelines, and quality standards within the finance function.
- Support orientation and handholding of team members on finance processes and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CA Inter / MBA Finance / equivalent qualification preferred.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance, accounts, and compliance.
- Experience in nonprofit/social sector finance and donor-funded projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance and financial governance.
- Good knowledge of financial systems, reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

Remuneration range is Rs.55, 000 – Rs.65000 (CTC) per month, depending upon skills and experience. It will include PF, ESI and other benefits as per rules.
