Position Title: Field Officer – Community Mobilization and Enterprise Support

Reporting To: Project Coordinator
Nature of Engagement: Full-time
Duration: 2 Year, (As per the requirement of the project, location can be changed every five to six months)

Project Overview
The primary objective of Project AU-Udyogini-Samriddhi is to empower women in peri-urban and rural communities through entrepreneurship development, self-reliance, transformational change, financial literacy, and livelihood support. Field Officers will assist in community mobilization, beneficiary engagement, training coordination, and providing on-the-ground guidance to ensure the effective implementation of the project and to secure sustainable livelihood opportunities for women.
Job Summary
The Field Officer will be responsible for Community mobilisation and mobilisation of women beneficiaries, facilitating training participation, and providing ongoing mentoring and support to women entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Mobilization
- Conduct village meetings and awareness campaigns, home visits, and family meetings to mobilize and register women.
- Identify and mobilize women interested in entrepreneurship.
- Perform beneficiary selection using socio-economic vulnerability and entrepreneurial potential criteria.
- Organize community launch events and ensure family & community acceptance of women entrepreneurs.
- Training Support
- Assist in organizing entrepreneurship and financial literacy training sessions.
- Maintain attendance and training records.
- Support in mentoring selected women in strengthening the entrepreneur collective.
- Enterprise Support
- Provide mentoring and handholding support to women entrepreneurs.
- Assist beneficiaries in record keeping and enterprise management.
- Facilitate weekly support circle meetings and monthly gender & rights awareness sessions (in coordination with Empowerment Field Coordinator).
- Monitoring and Data Collection
- Conduct regular visits to enterprises and track progress
- Provide on-ground handholding- weekly monitoring of micro-enterprises, bookkeeping support, troubleshooting, and progress tracking
- Collect M&E data – attendance, revenue/expense records, pre/post evaluation, perception feedback, monitoring- follow up actions and covering success stories.
- Collect data on business performance and income changes. (using Business health Matrix)
- Report daily/weekly field updates, challenges, and success cases to the Project Coordinator.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in community development programs.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong community engagement skills
- Ability to work in rural environments
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
The role may involve working in challenging field conditions with limited amenities. Candidates should be prepared to stay in basic accommodation near operational areas and be willing to relocate to a new project site after every six months of field tenure.
We pay between Rs.18,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- per month, depending upon skills and experience. Travel reimbursement as well as PF, ESI and other benefits will be available as per rules.
Transportation-
Applicants must own a two-wheeler (bike) to ensure regular field visits and smooth project operations. Fuel expenses incurred during official fieldwork will be reimbursed as per the organization’s policy.
