The atmosphere was buzzing with energy—laughter, tears, and stories of triumph filled the air. It was ETASHA’s certificate ceremony at Mangolpuri, celebrating the success of 200+ program participants who had completed their courses. The event wasn’t just a celebration of individual achievements; it was a testament to the power of relationships with stakeholders and how they come together to create lasting change.

To build a strong ecosystem for the youth, consistent efforts are made with the family and social influences that shape their mindset. Strengthening this ecosystem ensures that young people can thrive, overcome challenges, and build a brighter future. Our facilitators, and community mobilisers, all work together towards this common goal. The event was a beautiful reminder that when we come together, we can transform lives.
Changing Mindsets: Crucial role of Community relationship associates who work as change Makers

Behind every success story, there is an unsung hero—a community relationship associate (CRA) who works tirelessly in the field, conducting door-to-door visits, organising community drives, and staging nukkad nataks to spread awareness about skill development and employment opportunities. These efforts address the concern of many parents who hesitate to let their daughters step into the workforce, and others who see vocational training as unnecessary.
Our mobilisers don’t just share information; they challenge deeply ingrained beliefs. By conducting multiple home visits, addressing concerns through one-on-one counselling, and showcasing success stories, they help families understand that skill training is a stepping stone to financial independence and a better future in the current changing times.
Facilitators: Shaping Careers, Not Just Jobs
ETASHA’s facilitators play a crucial role in shaping the career mindset of trainees. It’s not just about finding a job—it’s about building a sustainable career. Facilitators help young people understand workplace expectations, develop 21st-century skills, and build the confidence needed to succeed in a professional environment.

Reducing attrition is another key focus. Many first-time job seekers face challenges adapting to workplace culture, leading to early dropouts. Through continuous mentoring and counselling, ETASHA ensures that trainees remain motivated and committed, improving long-term retention in the workforce. The alumni network helps the facilitators in keeping in touch with them, addressing any concerns that may arise.
Stories That Inspire

Krishan and Sana inspired many on the day of the event. In 2020, Krishan didn’t even have Rs. 500 in his family to pay for his course fees. Today, he’s breaking barriers as the first in his family to board a plane and travel internationally—a dream he once thought was impossible. Krishan dedicated himself to improving his presentation skills during the training, which has now led him to excel in a networking role.

Sana began by openly sharing, “I used to see myself in the mirror as a “loser”, but now I am a self-assured working professional.” She was glowing with confidence and determination, proving how self-belief and opportunity can change lives. The classroom environment at ETASHA provided her with the skills and confidence she needed through practical learning, role plays, and mock interviews.

Parents shared how their children’s newfound confidence and jobs had lifted their entire families out of financial struggles. One parent said with pride, “Meri beti humare liye kama rahi hai. Uski kamai se hi uska chota bhai CA ki padhai kar pa raha hai.” (My daughter is earning for us. It’s because of her income that her younger brother can now study to become a CA.)
These stories aren’t just about individual success—they’re about the ripple effect of that success. They are motivating their peers to dream bigger, families to invest in education, and communities to embrace change. As they rise, they uplift others, creating a cycle of opportunity and empowerment.
It wasn’t just a certificate ceremony—it was a celebration of achievement, hope, and the power of relationships. ETASHA’s work is proof that when we invest in people, we invest in a brighter future.
